Zhang Nan is a retired Chinese professional badminton player. He was born on June 21, 1989, in Shijiazhuang, Hebei, China. He is best known for his success in the men's doubles discipline, where he won numerous titles, including the Olympic gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Throughout his career, Zhang teamed up with several partners and became one of the most successful men's doubles players of all time. He won numerous World Championships, All England Championships, and World Tour Finals titles. In addition to his success in men's doubles, Zhang also competed in mixed doubles and won the bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
Zhang retired from international badminton in 2019 and is currently a badminton coach. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest men's doubles players of all time and has significantly impacted the sport of badminton.
