Badminton Net Posts for Professional Badminton Play
Badminton net posts are the vertical supports that hold up the net in a badminton court. Li-Ning badminton net posts are made from steel and or cast iron and are designed to be strong and sturdy enough to withstand the net's tension and the shuttlecock's impact. The weight of the net posts is critical. If there is not enough weight, the posts can not hold the tension at five feet in the middle and five feet, one inch on the ends. A sagging badminton net results from a poorly weighted net post system.
The posts are typically positioned 1.55 meters (5 feet 1 inch) away from the doubles sideline and 0.76 meters (2 feet 6 inches) away from the singles sideline and are 1.55 meters (5 feet 1 inch) tall. Li-Ning badminton net posts are not fixed in place and are moveable. Some are more moveable than others depending on the weight and the design. They may be set permanently in place or can be adjusted to accommodate different court sizes or even net heights if desired.
In official tournaments, the net posts must meet specific regulations set by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) to ensure fairness and consistency in play. These regulations include specifications for the height, thickness, and shape of the posts, as well as the distance between them and the tension of the net. Li-Ning offers an assortment of BWF-approved badminton net posts, so be sure to consult a product professional to ensure you select the correct net post for your club or application.
